Bernice earned her master’s degrees in Employment Law and Maritime & Transport Law from Erasmus University Rotterdam. Her legal career began in 2010 at the Court of Appeal of The Hague.

In 2015, Bernice relocated to Curaçao and was sworn in as an attorney in December of that year. After gaining extensive experience as an attorney, she transitioned to the public sector before establishing her own practice.
